I love this product. I use this for so many things. Individually packing meats and chicken to freeze. Items stay fresh frozen with no freezer burn for so much longer than throwing them in a plain zip top bag. It’s great to repackage specialty rice, crackers and even stews for leftovers.

This is our second Food Saver. Actually the third if you count the little hand held unit we use. The improvements over our old one are astounding. There’s no wrestling with the bag edges – trying to get them into the trough. This unit is built so it fits in easily and I’m able to close the lid with one hand (instead of the two it took with my ancient one) and so there’s no slipping back out. Once closed and started, I know by the time the red seal light goes out, the air has been removed and the bag is sealed. And, having the smaller unit part of the large means everything I might need is all in one place. We are very happy to retire the old one and please with our purchase.

Never used a vacuum sealer before. This is simple to use, has a great price and works well. My first test was vacuum sealing important documents to protect them from water/flood damage. Double-bagged the documents and triple heat sealed the ends so should be much better than the zip lock bags that leaked in my last flood. Came with wine bottle cap seal and a hose to seal vacuum canisters and a starter bunch of bags.

Good vacuum packing machine,I was always skeptical of the need for a vacuum sealer and thought it was really gimmicky. One day went to New York and bought some jerky in bulk and it came in a vacuum sealed bag. I was told to freeze the extras so they would last longer so I did. Usually, I end up tossing a lot of food because of freezer burn or because it just acquired the “freezer food” smell and was no longer appetizing but after a few months in the freezer, my jerky was still as tasty as if I had just bought some so decided to get a vacuum sealer. This vacuum sealer has been really easy to use and the starter kit has everything you need to start your sealing journey. Read the instructions but everything is pretty straightforward and easy to use straight out of the box.

Having read the reviews for many different vacuum seal units I decided to get this vacuum packer. First of all, read the instructions. They are not as detailed as they should be but do point out some important things to remember. DON”T over fill the bags or make the bag too small. Trying to save money by stuffing the bags will not work. The bags need to lay flat in the vacuum and heat seal strip to work properly. No puckers or folds! DO make sure the area of the bag that will heat seal is clean and dry. Any moisture in this area will compromise the seal. This is especially true with oil or grease. If there is oil on the seal area don’t waste your time trying to seal it. You can’t clean the oil from the plastic well enough without some kind of soap so just use another bag and keep it clean. It also helps to lay the bag on a cutting board or book to keep the bag and sealer on the same plane so that everything starts out flat. With some common sense and practice this sealer works fine.

This is a very functional sealer. It’s actually my first in many many years so it’s refreshing to see how low prices have come on these guys. I coukd not see myself paying over $100 for a vacuum sealer. So good thing this one was on sale. It does the job of sealing bags and sucking the air out and then sealing.
